The Pacific Northwest has always had a tight-knit hot rodding community, and Art Morrison Enterprises has long been one of the cornerstones of it. The company’s 50-plus-year history began with drag racing components and chassis but truly flourished in the past quarter century with an expending line of street-oriented custom chassis and suspensions for a growing list of popular classics.

For many years, company founder Art Morrison and his son Craig served as selectors of our Builder’s Choice Top 10 in Puyallup. With Craig’s passing
in 2021, and the subsequent purchase of the company by longtime employee Matt Jones, the torch has now been passed to a new generation of Morrison awards selectors.
Matt is now in his second year in that role and, judging by the great lineup of vehicles he found on the fairgrounds, we think he’s getting the hang of it. Let’s take a look at what caught his eye.
Sanders Street Rods built this clean ’50 Ford F1 for customer Brian Schoos and had us coming back for additional looks all weekend. It’s based on a TCI chassis to update the suspension and deliver a great stance over the Pro billet wheels.
Power comes from a Gen III Coyote engine dressed up with custom machined coil covers and backed by a 4R70W transmission. Brown leather upholstery and more custom-machined parts finish things off inside. View Coyote Coil Covers.
